Allergy Bronchitis …

Typically during the winter my allergy turns into a dry cough.. or mucus type cough. At the peak I experience some exercise allergy (coughing).. and at times shortness of breath.. once the cough starts to go away maybe a few weeks these symptoms go away as well. Curious as to why .. and should I be taking some medication when this starts to happen.

  1. Hi, ! I know it can be annoying to deal with a persistent cough. If you haven't done so already, I would discuss your cough with your doctor and/or allergist. They will know your medical history and be able to offer some ideas as to what's causing your cough and how to manage it. It could be irritation or something else. Have you been tested for asthma? Dry air (and drying drinks, like alcohol) can some times irritate the sinuses and bronchial passages, but again, your physician would have the best guess as to what's going on.

Does anything help when you experience these coughing bouts?

    1. Also drinking wine makes me cough when this is going in and gone once the cough is diminished.
