Helping Teens with Allergies – New Community Group

Hi everyone,

I’m a parent of a teen who deals with food allergies, and recently, my son started a group on Facebook called Allergy Awareness Club – For Teens, Parents & Community. It's a student-led initiative aimed at building a safe, supportive space where people can share tips, experiences, and help others navigate allergy challenges.

He was inspired to create it because he didn’t see many teen-focused allergy communities out there. The group welcomes parents, teachers, teens, and anyone passionate about allergy safety and awareness.

If you're interested in joining or just checking it out, here's the link:

Would love to hear from others — how do you or your family manage allergy challenges, especially at school or in social situations?

Thanks for reading and supporting a young advocate trying to make a difference!

  1. Hi, !

Your son sounds pretty awesome! And what a great idea to create a space for those impacted by allergies to gather and support one another online! My own teen does not deal with food allergies, but a rather odd chemical (skin) allergy that causes some issues, but I do have a niece with severe peanut and tree nut allergies. Having a safe space for teens and families is a great idea and what initiative your son showed in just creating one.

I wish him all the luck in the world with the Club and thanks for sharing about it here!

    Best, Erin, Team Member.
