Why did you select your response to our poll about OTC skincare products?

  1. Also, my dermatologist recommended a shampoo that contained SLS which many people are sensitive to. I honestly don't think they have any idea what they're doing other than to collect a paycheck!

    1. There isn't anything that's available OTC that I can use. I'm allergic to corn, coconut and propolis (beeswax). EVERYTHING has to be purchased online. Also, even though many may claim dermatologist recommend they can and most do contain microbeads (microplastics) which is disgusting to me.

      1. , I hear you! What's with companies putting microplastics in everything? I mean, we survived quite well without all the plastics in our lotions and cosmetics for hundreds of years. Not sure why now seems like a good time to put them in products, but I digress.

I am so sorry your dermatologist seems a bit off the mark when prescribing or recommending products to you. That seems a little unhelpful for you, to say the least!

    2. My Dermatologist recommended OTC lotion that would not trigger Atopic Dermatitis or rosacea.

      1. , it's definitely important to find a product that works and doesn't trigger outbreaks!

      2. Can you please share? Although I highly doubt that it doesn't contain any of the things I'm allergic to. I found a company that I can purchase many items for facial cleansing but they don't have an all body lotion persay. It's Chagrin Valley and I must say I really do like their products for facial care.

    3. This is what i use

      1. , do you have a specific product that is your go-to?
