Shopping for allergies

I've long wished for a grocery store that is owned and operated by people with allergies for the sole purpose of providing hypoallergenic products to people with allergies rather than pure profit making entities like Whole Foods Market that pretend to be against the allergens but sell mostly allergenic products.
What are your thoughts?

  1. It would have to offset the profit margin somehow by having a primary income source that is not groceries, so that if the grocery section is losing money, the store stays in business. I've been thinking about this for most of my life.
In other words it would have to be a place people go for perhaps entertainment, like a movie theater that stays in business from ticket sales while supplementing the income by selling organic, chemical free, allergen free, raw and hypoallergenically prepared foods.

Online supplements, but I am trying to eliminate my online presence at this point because the Internet has become far more toxic than beneficial with the advent of AIs online. So a return to nature is a key aspect of my desire to create a new Earth Fare that actually does the job, but should only expand as quickly as money can allow possibly franchising to start with, for wide reach rather than going the debt loan route that torpedoed Earth Fare.

  2. I hear you and I think it would be great to have a truly allergen free grocery store, ! I have no idea how that would work, but it would be awesome. Grocery stores already run on very tight profit margins, so I can see why a store would hesitate to take a risk like catering one specific people group (even though, yes, it's a pretty large group).

Have you found any online stores that meet some of your needs? I know that's not what you are talking about, nor is online shopping a solution to all problems (like needing to pop in to the store on the way home from work to pick up a couple of ingredients for dinner), but do any online spaces help fill in some of the gaps for you?

Still, I do think a store like you described would be pretty great!
